What’s Next? Importance of Communications When Reopening During a Pandemic

If you are like me, you are trying to wrap your head around what the future looks like due to this pandemic. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with your stakeholders will be more critical than ever as we begin to reopen this spring and summer. In order to create effective communications we need to reflect on the fact that consumer purchasing behavior has completely changed in the last two months. Our approach to doing business needs to shift accordingly.

Here are a few of the areas that have been on my mind:

  • Shifting Consumer Mindset: The key purchasing factors for consumers have radically changed during this pandemic.
  • Buying experience: Consumers are relying on curb-side customer service and home delivery. What parts of this experience are most important to consumers? How can you improve this experience?
  • Digital presence and user experience: This has never been more important. When was the last time you looked at your website on a mobile device?
  • Earning consumers trust in how you are doing business will be a key differentiator moving forward – How are you building your customer’s trust?
